Online Exhibition

The Show Handbook is a guide for graduating students who are exhibiting work in the ECU Grad Show

The Show website was created for you to exhibit work online alongside your graduating peers. It’s a space to showcase your work and process for your community and potential employers.

All eligible students can participate (no application required), and will receive an invitation to their ECU e-mails to sign in to the website.

Step 1: Know the Dates + Deadlines

Step 2: Attend a Planning Workshop

On April 4, our team hosted a Zoom info session that covered how to plan and build your project page on the website, and showed available examples and resources.

Step 3: Build your Project Page

The Show website is custom-built on WordPress platform. You are responsible for creating your own Project Page on the website, but there is help and support available if you need it. We'll have more information available by the beginning of April.

There are several ways to get support when building your project in the Grad Show website:

Online Exhibition FAQs

Can I edit my Project Page once the The Show website is live to the public?

Yes, if you need to update your page after the grad show opening, you can edit your published Project Page. Make sure to click “Update” to save your changes. If for some reason you need to withdraw your project from The Show, click “Switch to Draft” and it will hide your Project Page from public view.

Can I add new Categories to describe my Project?

A: Categories are used to help visitors discover projects that share similar themes to yours, rather than completely describe each project. If you would like to request a new category, please contact us.

My work is already uploaded to another website. What should I do?

We understand you may have work already uploaded to an external website or service, that you cannot or do not wish to re-upload to your Project Page.

We recommend first checking if you can embed your onto your Project Page. See the Embedding Media section on this page for more info.

Otherwise, you can still add a link to your work! Use headings to introduce what you will be linking to, and including a preview image for visitors. Add the link to your external website using a Button block. See an example on the Sample Project with Design Focus.
